Two year unlimited mileage warranty parts and
labor on exchange/rebuilt transmissions.
Transmission purchase includes remanufactured
torque converter.
Peter Schmid Transmission shall pay $35.00 per
hour labor rate to a maximum of $200.00 and provide parts as needed, if it is determined
that the failure is caused by defective material or workmanship. A Peter Schmid
Transmission a complete warranty claim form must be submitted prior to payment of claim.
If it is determined that the failure is due to incorrect installation, failure to flush
cooling system, non compliance with factory service recommendations and/or consequential
damage or towing are ineligible for warranty coverage.
No-compliance with the following conditions shall
automatically void warranty.
3,000 miles after installation of exchange or
rebuilt transmission, fluid and filter must be changed. Replace with original
Mercedes-Benz parts only. (Receipt of completed service required with;
date/vehicle/mileage for any warranty claim)
On diesel models, vacuum must be set correctly.
Modulator settings should not be changed unless
authorized by Peter Schmid Transmissions.
Core return Policy
All acceptable automatic transmission cores must
be in a rebuildable condition.
The following conditions disqualify the core;
Milk shake inside, water in oil.
Holes in or cracked housing.
Major pieces missing.
Vacuum/modulator box missing.
Kickdown solonoid missing.
Control pressure cable missing.
Neutral safety switch missing.
Cores not meeting the criteria are subject to the
core charge.
Only cores of the same part number are acceptable
as a core unit.
Cores must be returned with the original packaging
and/or straps used in securing the transmission.
The partial core charge will apply if the
transmission is received disassembled.
A $100.00 charge will apply for broken cooling
fins.
Items which are not covered
DAMAGES DUE TO ACCIDENTS, MISUSE, OR NEGLIGENCE:
Damage due to abuse, misuse, neglect, alteration or accident, or which have been
improperly lubricated repaired or installed, or used in applications which they were not
designed or approved by Peter Schmid Transmissions.
NORMAL MAINTENANCE IS OWNER EXPENSE: The cleaning,
adjusting or replacing of parts in the course of normal maintenance, such as oil, filters.
The expense of replacing such items is the owners responsibility.
EXTRA EXPENSES: This warranty does not cover
payment or loss of the use of the car during warranty repairs nor lodging bills, car
rentals, other travel costs, towing, telephone calls, or loss of pay.

THIS IS THE ONLY WARRANTY GIVEN WITH THE PURCHASE
OF PETER SCHMID TRANSMISSIONS. ANY WARRANTEES IMPLIED BY LAW ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION
OF THE WARRANTY OUTLINED ABOVE FROM THE DATE OF INSTALLATION. PETER SCHMID TRANSMISSIONS
NEITHER ASSUMES OF NOR AUTHORIZES ANY OTHER PERSON TO ASSUME FOR THEM ANY OTHER LIABILITY
IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH PARTS, EQUIPMENT OR ACCESSORIES.
NO PAYMENT OR OTHER COMPENSATION WILL BE MADE FOR
INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE SUCH AS, DAMAGE OR INJURY TO PERSON OR PROPERTY OR LOSS
OF REVENUE WHICH MIGHT BE PAID, INCURRED OR SUSTAINED BY REASON OF THE FAILURE OF ANY PART
OR ASSEMBLY WHICH MAY BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED IN ACCORD WITH THE TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY.
